Replacing a PC in a Cumberland Kiosk


  • The purpose of this guide is to provide a walkthrough of the process of installing a new PC in a Cumberland kiosk
  • This guide is intended for the personnel responsible for maintaining the kiosk

Before You Begin


Before beginning the kiosk installation, be sure that you have the following:

  1. The key to open the kiosk
  2. A set of cutter pliers or scissors


After Installation


After the PC is replaced, it must be configured for use. Please refer to the Cumberland Configuration Guide for instructions on configuring the kiosk.


Step-by-Step Guide


  1. Open the kiosk to access the PC at the bottom

  2. If necessary, undo (or break) the cable ties fastening the various cables inside the kiosk

  3. Unplug all cables from the defective PC
  4. Remove the faulty PC from the kiosk
    1. If the PC is taped to the side of the kiosk, it will need to be pried off
  5. Reconnect all of the cables to the new PC
    1. Depending on the type of PC sent, adapters will be required for some of the connections (included)
    2. Depending on the kind of PC sent, some cables might no longer be required
    3. The necessary cables are:
      • All USB Cables
      • Display Cable (HDMI, VGA)
      • Power Cable
  6. If possible, adhere the new PC to the wall of the kiosk using double-sided tape
