Before You Begin
Before beginning the kiosk installation, be sure that you have the following:
- The ELO All-In-One Kiosk (shipped on a pallet)
- A Power Drill W/ Phillips Head Screw Bit - Figure A
- A Utility Knife - Figure B
Two People - Versatile Credit, Inc. recommends having two people install as the kiosk unit is both heavy and bulky
After Installation
After you install the kiosk, it must be configured for use. For instructions on configuring the kiosk, please refer to the Cumberland Configuration Guide.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1 - Unpacking
The first step in installing the kiosk is unpacking and removing the shipping material. The kiosk ships strapped to a pallet with protective cardboard and shrink wrapping.
- Using a utility knife, carefully cut the shrink wrap. Once cut, it can be easily removed and discarded.
- Remove and discard the protective foam pieces and display packaging materials.
- Unscrew the screws on the wooden planks holding the kiosk in place (Figure A.)
- Carefully remove the kiosk from the wooden pallet it was shipped in and place it on the floor.
Step 2 - Setting Up the Kiosk
Locate the accessories box that was shipped with the kiosk. This box contains the kiosk installation, configuration, support documentation, keys for the enclosure, two rolls of thermal printer paper, and a network cable.
- Use the set of keys to unlock the kiosk enclosure by inserting the key into the enclosure locks on the back of the kiosk. If the key doesn't turn, try pushing gently on the enclosure's back panel while turning.
- Remove the kiosk back panel from the enclosure.
Find the power cord for the power strip at the bottom of the enclosure. Plug the power strip cord into a standard wall power outlet.
- If your kiosk needs to be connected to the network via ethernet, find the network cable in the accessory box and plug it into the PC mounted on the kiosk's inner wall.
Step 3 - Installing the Printer Paper
- Open the kiosk to access the printer.
- Place the thermal paper roll on the paper holder, ensuring that the roll goes counterclockwise.
- Begin pushing the paper through the available slot on the back of the printer.
- After pushing a certain amount, the printer will begin to pull the paper through and automatically cut off the excess.
Please see the Cumberland Kiosk Configuration Guide next to follow the software configuration procedure.
