Cumberland Display Troubleshooting Guide


  • The purpose of this guide is to provide basic steps to follow if a Cumberland kiosk is experiencing issues with its display
  • This guide is intended for the personnel responsible for maintaining the kiosk

Testing the Display


  • Testing the display can help determine if the cause of the issue lies there or in the PC.
  • To test the display:
    1. Unplug the Kiosk and Plug it back in.
    2. If it's operational, the display should briefly show an ELO screen and then transition to a screen stating "No Video Signal Detected."

  • If the display is operational, please see the Cumberland PC Troubleshooting Guide.
  • If the display is operational, continue to the next section.

Troubleshooting the Display


Reseat the Video Cable:

    1. Unplug the video cable going from the display to the PC on both ends.

    2. Depending on when the kiosk was shipped, this could be a VGA or HDMI cable.

Reseat the Display Power Cable:

    1. Reseat the power cable on the display.

    2. Follow the display power cable and locate the power brick at the bottom of the kiosk.

    3. Reseat the power brick connection.

    4. Unplug from the power strip and plug it back in.
