Connecting a Web Kiosk to a Network

  • This guide is intended for the personnel responsible for maintaining the kiosk

Before You Begin


Before attempting to connect a kiosk to a network, be sure that you have the following:

  1. The network name and password (if using Wi-Fi)
  2. The kiosk's administrative password (*)

(*) - A kiosk's administrative password is chosen during the kiosk's initial setup process. Please call Versatile Credit Customer Support if you need the password.


Step-by-Step Guide


  1. Reboot the kiosk by unplugging it and plugging it back in
  2. Click on Configure once the option becomes available

  3. Enter the kiosk's administrative password

  4. In the Configuration Main Menu, click on Settings in the top left corner of the screen and select Reset Network Settings from the Network section
  5. The kiosk will now transition to the Network Setup screen
    1. If the kiosk doesn't immediately transition to the Network Setup screen, click on the power button on the top right and select Restart
  6. At the Network Setup screen, choose the type of network you wish to connect to

  7. If you select a Wireless Network, you will be prompted to choose a Wi-Fi network and enter the password

  8. After selecting a Wi-Fi network or selecting Ethernet in Step 6, you will be taken to the Network Configuration screen
    1. Contact your local IT department for assistance during this step

  9. Once the network information is configured, the kiosk will apply the network settings and perform a network test

  10. If the system completes the network test successfully, the kiosk will begin its system maintenance. Afterward, the kiosk will be ready for use
