Disabled iPad (Connect to iTunes)


  • The purpose of this guide is to provide steps that can be taken if an iPad-based kiosk has a disabled iPad
  • This guide is intended for the personnel responsible for maintaining the kiosk

Overview


After an incorrect password is entered multiple times, an iPad can become disabled. A disabled iPad will display a message like the one below.

The iPad needs to be restored to resume use of it. Unfortunately, the device must be sent to our warehouse for restoration and returned to the store.


Sending an iPad for Restoration


  1. Contact Versatile Credit Customer Support using our dedicated support lines to request a return label for the iPad

    2. Phone: 866-803-3369
  2. In addition to a return label, you can request the following:
    1. A hive tool (security screwdriver for Hive 2.0/9.7s
    2. A box to ship the iPad
  3. Once the quote for the maintenance fees is approved, a team member will provide the return label
  4. Once the iPad is restored, it will be shipped back to the store ready for use
