Printer Troubleshooting Guide (TSP-100)


  • The purpose of this guide is to provide a walkthrough of the process of loading paper into a TSP-100 printer found in Hive and ELO All-In-One kiosks
  • This guide is intended for the personnel responsible for maintaining the kiosk

Before You Begin


Confirm that your kiosk has a TSP-100 printer, as shown below.

If the printer in your kiosk is not a TSP-100, please see:


Troubleshooting the Printer


  1. Confirm that the printer is powered on
    1. If the printer is powered on, the "Power" light will be lit blue

    2. If it's not powered on, check that the power switch on the side of the printer is set to ( I ) and that the power cable is correctly connected to the back of the printer
    3. If the printer doesn't power on, try a different outlet at your location
  2. If the printer is already powered on, reset the printer using the steps below
    1. Power off the printer using the power switch on the side
    2. Remove the paper (if applicable)
    3. Power the printer back on
    4. Load paper into the printer
  3. Reseat (unplug and plug back in) the connection between the kiosk and the printer (USB cable)
  4. Run a test application to test if the printer is printing correctly
  5. If the test application doesn't produce a receipt, follow the steps to pair the printer to the kiosk (Hive 2.0/9.7 only)
  6. Run another test application to test if the printer is printing correctly
  7. If the printer continues not to produce receipts, follow the steps below to test the hardware
    1. Power off the printer using the power switch on the side
    2. Press and hold the "Feed" button

    3. Power the printer back on while holding the "Feed" button
    4. The printer should now produce a test receipt
